As you probably know globally cleantech investment is expected to exceed $226 billion by 2016 and present a global market of about $1.5 trillion between now and 2030. As far as market size is concerned, adding up the energy and transport sectors comes to a whopping $ 6 trillion worldwide; it dwarfs the information technology and high tech booms.
As global consensus builds in favour of low carbon and energy efficient economies, India too has started its walk towards supporting renewable energy projects and promoting energy efficiency. The government has drawn up elaborate plans and put in place policies to give clean technology and renewable energy projects impetus.
The Green Investment Congress India 2010 successfully bridged the gap between the clean tech investor base and project developers in India. Focused on addressing information needs at the highest levels and bringing together financers, bankers, fund managers, project developers, manufacturers and entrepreneurs, the conference identified concerns and generated lively debate through practical business examples and excellent case studies.
The 2010 forum gave delegates the opportunity to learn from and network with the best minds in the Green landscape and use their insight for maximising their profits, pushing their growth stories forward in the year that is poised to be a turning point in the global Green story.
